The indisputable fathers (and mothers) of industrial, Throbbing Gristle, have officially scheduled several events in the US this April. This mini tour marks the first time the band has played in the United States since 1982, and the first time the band has ever played a show on the east coast. Scheduled dates include Thursday, April 16th in New York City, Sunday, April 19th at Cochella Festival in Indio, California, Tuesday, April 21st in LA, Thursday, April 23rd in San Fracisco, and Saturday, April 25th, in Chicago.
TG will have two different sets that they will be playing throughout the tour. One set is a seventy-five minute set featuring material from across TG's history. The other set is a sixty minute set featuring "A new live soundtrack to Derek Jarman's 60min 1980 alchemical film 'In The Shadow Of The Sun'". April 19th and 23rd will feature the set from the bands history, April 21st will feature the soundtrack, and April 16th and 25th will feature both sets back to back, as will as an oppertunity for the band to sign merchendise.
